Great
Hindi poet Suryakant Tripathi Nirala has written this poem in 1936 with the war
background of famous Indian epic Ramayana.
Invincible
Rama is getting frustrated as his all powerful war wining efforts are failing.
He see that goddess Shakti is protecting Ravana, his worshipper. She is in
favour of immorality. On the suggestion of his chieftain to imagine power in
original, he prepares himself for the worship of goddess Shakti and Hanuman
brings 108 blue lotus as offering to Goddess. Rama starts his worship and near
to finish his worship, goddess Shakti appears and hides away one of the Neel
Kamal; blue lotus. When Rama finds that the last 108th blue lotus is missing,
gets vexed and in the state of despair, his mother’s word flashes in his mind
in which she used to call him : Rajeevnayan. Your eyes are blue lotus, my son!
Rama decides and takes an arrow to take out one of his eye to offer the 108th
blue lotus only then goddess Shakti appears and holds his hand and announces
his worship successful. She absorbed in Ram and the war gets its result: Ravana
Defeated.
